BECKY IN THE BIG APPLE
(
Becky Strom)
Review by Rick Bradford
This is kind of a cross between diary comics and sketchbook doodles about Becky's trips to New York City. She hangs with friends, rides the subway, goes to art exhibits, attends a
NON signing at Jim Hanley's Universe and other imaginable stops in NYC. There are a few sequential strips in here but mostly it's scene, scene, scene – with is fine with me. I like
travel comics, especially when the artist actually draws the places they visit. It provides a pleasant, vicarious experience and now I want to go to NYC.
