Review by Rick Bradford
This is a pretty entertaining zine chock full of movie reviews, most of which have some kind of personal connection or anecdotal aside. The movies are rated using a scale of 1 to 5 Don Knotts heads. I usually hate these kinds of ratings but who can resist Don Knotts? There's a lot of genre stuff (horror, especially) in here but also some surprises. A few of his favorites in this issue, in case you're curious:
Thirteen,
Cabin Fever,
Bubba Ho-Tep,
Stacy,
Story of Ricky. Movie review zines can be tough to make interesting to non-movie-nerds but this one's fun and is pretty generous with the yuks. Besides, the review of
Master & Commander (1 Don Knotts head) summed up my feelings exactly – and I haven't even seen it. The Don Knotts heads just don't lie.
