IT'S ONE LINE

Review by Rick Bradford
This is an interesting experiment – one that I think would drive me nuts were I to attempt it. The novelty here is that Eric drew the entire 24-page comic, from cover to cover, using a single, non-breaking line. Illustration, lettering, everything. Now, I imagine he penciled it all out before applying the ink but the point is that the line never ends. As a matter of fact, that's the point of the story as well. It's a concept comic, you see, and I applaud the experimentation. The narrator (the author, I believe) goes to a concert, the entire process of which illustrates how many lines with might deal with in a typical day – how much time we spend just waiting. It's an interesting approach to a somewhat depressing reality.
