Review by Matt Dembicki
Dope and zombies. Zombies and dope. Do you need anything else to make a great comic? Yeah? OK, throw in a few teenage beatniks and an agriculture research center studying radioactive carrots. Frost borrows elements from cult classic films such as
Reefer Madness,
Night of the Living Dead and
Village of the Giants to weave a hysterical cautionary tale about the dangers of smoking dope. (The climatic battle between the zombies and the good guys in a café also reminds me a little of the Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino vampire flick
From Dusk Till Dawn.) Kudos also to Rafer Roberts, who usually focuses his energy on his own series
Plastic Farm, for not swaying from his typically twisted style; it’s a perfect fit.
