A few years back, Jape was up for an Ignatz Award for best mini-comic. It's still one of the best mini-comics out there. Some of the topics in this 24-page gag mini include tombstone epitaphs, astrology, and the American flag. I especially enjoyed the "Archaeopteryx Funnies," which paints the uphill battle of the first bird-like dinosaur. My favorite one shows the small, winged creature sitting on a tree branch looking eye-to-eye with a T. Rex. He says to the much larger beast: "We will bury you..."
