But, before you dismiss it as jam comic, I would like to clearly state that both creators involved, Trevor Alixopulos and Fredo are extremely talented.
The story involves premonitory dreams, murder, masturbation, (literally) cock-punching, term-papers, and French chain-smokers. That’s just the first half. Both Alix and Fredo’s drawings are cartoony and gross, but beautifully rendered. Imagine a looser Dave Cooper. The covers are silkscreened and numbered, and my only complaint doesn’t really have anything to do with the book: their advertisement in the back for their other books are at such a low resolution, they’re illegible. Oh well.
If this kind of thing isn’t your cup of tea, then you best just stay away, but if you like some dadaesque nihilism with your morning latte, by all means, pick up some duckbutter with your bagel.
